PURCHASE, N.Y. – Purchase College freshman midfielder Shakim Carr was named to the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week, the USILA office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Carr (Brooklyn, NY) had a banner week for the Panthers, fueling the team's back-to-back Skyline Conference wins with a .722 shot percentage and six total points.

The standout rookie netted two goals, including the game-winning tally, along with one assist and four ground balls in PC's 14-9 victory over Mount Saint Vincent on Apr. 11. He later netted another two goals and one assist in the team's 8-7 edge against St. Joseph's University (L.I.) on Apr. 15.

This is Carr's career-first USILA honor.

Purchase (6-6, 2-1 Skyline) takes on the reigning Skyline Champs of Maritime College tomorrow in Throggs Neck, N.Y. at 7 p.m.
