PURCHASE, N.Y. – Purchase College men's lacrosse head coach Dan Lawrence has named Riley Donovan and Angus Goldman as the team captains for the 2023 season.

"Riley and Angus are tremendous competitors and great teammates," Lawrence said. "For us to be successful, we must have captains who know and understand our philosophy but are also able to communicate and reinforce our standards to the rest of the team. Riley and Angus have earned this honor and I know they will continue to do a great job leading this program."

Donovan (Billerica, MA) joined the squad as a freshman in 2020 and has been a defensive force for the Panthers ever since. He has started in all 20 games over the past three years and will enter his senior campaign with 62 ground balls, 47 caused turnovers and three assists.

Goldman (Palisades, NY) has also been at the forefront of the program since his rookie debut in 2020. The standout midfielder enters this season with career-total 17 goals, five assists, 63 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.

Purchase will open the season against Centenary University on Feb. 25 at 1 p.m.
