LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. - The Purchase College golf team competed at the Manhattanville College Invitational Friday afternoon, facing off against a trio of Skyline Conference foes.
For the event, the Panthers battled Farmingdale State College, Mount Saint Mary College and Manhattanville on the course at The Links at Union Vale.
Despite competing, Purchase actually didn't factor into the final team scoring, as the squad only traveled with three members and four are needed to place at an event. Even with that knowledge, the trio that did still travel played tough.
Leading the way for Purchase was
Ben Erkan (SR/Bellport, NY), as the senior shot a 95 to finish 14th overall.
Directly following Erkan was his teammate,
Jack McHugh (FR/Hawthorne, NY), who finished with a score of 96. Finally,
John Dziubon (SR/Pittsburgh, PA) tallied 105 strokes on the day to closeout the Panther effort.
As for the rest of the field, Farmingdale State won the event with a total score of 309 and Manhattanville placed second with a mark of 315.
