Meet Jordan Snider, Head Men's Tennis Coach

Every Monday, the Sports Information Department at Purchase will select a staff member, new recruit or student assistant to highlight in our #MeetEmMonday feature. Today's #MeetEmMonday is head men's tennis coach Jordan Snider.

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Jordan Snider, a former Division II tennis player, and the current director of Future Stars Summer Camps – a well-known youth program in the area, housed at Purchase during the summer months – enters his fourth season as head coach of the Panther men's tennis team in 2020-21.

Snider earned his BA in psychology from Rollins College. He later earned his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.

The Westchester native played tennis at Rollins, where he was a member of the 1991 Division II National Championship team. With Snider on the roster, that team was ranked in the Top 5 nationally every year. He was named captain of the team his senior year.

"We finished third in the country that year," recalled Snider, who today dedicates his life to sports and youth development.

Snider has nearly 20 years of experience teaching and coaching tennis to juniors and adults of all ages, and of all levels from beginners to high level tournament players.  He was named director of Future Stars in 1993 and helped grow the camp from just three programs and a few hundred children to over 20 programs and thousands of children every summer.

Snider resides in nearby Briarcliff with his wife Julie and their two children, Emily and Eli.
