Every Monday, the Sports Information Department at Purchase will select a staff member, new recruit or student assistant to highlight in our #MeetEmMonday feature. Today's #MeetEmMonday is Assistant Athletic Trainer Jenna Iannacci.

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Jenna Iannacci begins her third season as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Purchase College.

As the second member of the two-person sports medicine team at PC, Iannacci assists Head ATC Sherry Llauger with the prevention, care, and treatment for all student-athletes within Purchase's 17 intercollegiate teams.

In addition to her ATC responsibilities, Iannacci became a certified COVID-19 Contact Tracer this spring. In the new role, she educates others on the principles and safety procedures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This education includes interviewing people diagnosed with the virus, identifying their close contacts who might have been exposed, and providing them guidance for self-quarantine for two weeks.

Iannacci, a graduate of Ithaca College, spent three years working with the Bombers as a Student Athletic Trainer. She was part of the Ithaca College-Cornell University Athletic Trainer Exchange Program and a current member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
