PURCHASE, NY - Most student-athletes go their entire career without leaving a mark on their program.

However, Rory Mazur '16 was no such athlete.

In fact, in just one weekend five years ago, Mazur (Ridgefield, CT) set a pair of Purchase College golf records that still stand to this day. That is why Mazur and his records are the focus of today's #STATurday series.

Back in October 2015, at the Skyline Conference Championship, Mazur became the first and only Purchase College golfer to ever claim a spot on the All-Skyline Conference First Team, as he finished tied for second with the score of 154.

He shot a 78 on the first day of the Championship, before closing it out with 76 on the second day. With the score, the Ridgefield native became the only Purchase golfer in the 11-year history of Skyline Conference play to earn a spot on the All-First Team.

During that same Skyline Championship, Mazur actually achieved another first in Purchase history, becoming the only golfer to make three All-Skyline Conference teams in their career. Mazur earned All-Skyline Conference Second Team nods as a freshman (2012) and junior (2014), before closing out his collegiate career with the All-First Team nomination.

Both marks still stand to this day, as neither has been threatened in the last 1,832 days.

While it's likely that those records will be challenged one day in the future, Mazur will always be able to relish in the fact that he was the first to achieve such goals.
